A few weeks ago, I ran my first 5K since the spring. I wasn't sure how I was going to do. I wanted to range in the 27 minutes but I didn't....I finished in 28:23. That's really good for me, though...It's a 9:40 mile. My last 5K time was 29:01 so I did improve some! I was happy but still I could have done better. Oh well. I did get 2nd place overall! lol It was by far the SMALLEST race I've ever ran but it was fun! I'll post pictures later! :0)
This past Saturday, I did 2.5 miles...part of the way, I added Madalynn to the run! She loved it!
Tuesday night, we did a hill workout again. This time it was a total of 4.5 miles on my garmin. My core was SO sore last time from this workout and I'm feeling it a little now! I didn't realize, but this Hill workout will be a weekly thing so that's good!!! :0)
Going to run again today with Madalynn. I have a HUGE HUGE HUGE Oncology test on Monday...it's to become an Oncology Certified Nurse. SCARY! I took today and tomorrow off to study! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!! :0)

Long time!
I realize it's been a LONG time since I've journaled here! I HAVE been keeping up somewhat with my running/training program. As I'm sure you know, every now and then we all have off weeks. I did get sick about 2 weeks ago so I didn't get much exercise in that week at all!
I did bring Pixie for Howloween and she was adorable but she didn't win! Oh well maybe next year! I was sick for a whole week but that Saturday, I felt much better so I ran with our running group...we did 6 miles! Yay! After that, it was back on track! I ran hills that following week and boy was my CORE hurting! My legs were fine but ugh my core was killing me!!!!
For the hill workout, we did 5 minutes times 4 which was a total of 20 minutes of hills.
We started off a warmup mile normal flat land....then we did 20 minutes of hills.....then 1 mile cooldown lap, then we worked on our core. So not only is my butt and legs sore, so are my abs and upper body!!! lol! It was a great workout, though! And I wore my watch so it was a total of 3.75 miles! Yay!

Now on track this week! Madalynn, our new adopted dog was DEATHLY ill Monday morning. The Dr said if we had been an hour later with her, we'd have lost her! My sweet girl...she was really bad off and it happened overnight! She had Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis! It was some NASTY stuff! In looking it up online, I saw that most of the dogs who have this die from it because they dont' get medial attention in time. Well, we did and she's ok now but whew that was SCARY!!!!!
Thanks for sticking with me even though I've been a bad blogger lately!!! :0)

Gorgeous Day!
It's been raining SO much here lately! Seems like EVERY day has been filled with a downpour or 2. However, this weekend, the rain lightened up and the sun came out an along with all of that came a COLD FRONT!!! YAY!
I ran 4 miles today in the gorgeous weather. Days like today make me want to stay home all day and play outside!!!!
3.5 miles tomorrow night! Tomorrow night is also Howl-O-Ween at Pets Mart. I'm bringing Pixie in for a halloween costume contest!! She's going to be the cutest little bumble bee ever!!! :0)

Ran out of gas!
I went out this morning with the group and logged 8 miles. The way our runs work is we start at home base, run 6 miles, return to home base, then go out for 2 more miles. The first six miles were GREAT...then I got to home base and drank a little bit of water, ate an energy gel and started again. I only paused for like 2 minutes. OH my gosh the last two miles were hard! I got through them but it was hard. My hip flexors started tightening up. I tried to stretch them but it was awful! Ugh. Oh well! This is the 2nd time to do 8 miles and it wasn't like that before!
Also, last week wasn't the greatest running week. I was busy every night and only got to run on Tuesday night. I did 3 miles. So maybe that was the issue with today? Hmmm...
On a side note, WE FINALLY HAVE COLD WEATHER! It was amazing today! Low 60's ... cloudy ... it was great!! I loved it! I was freezing at first but I'd much rather run in the cold than the heat! (Louisiana cold that is...lol!)

Crazy Cajun 10K!!
Updates for last week:
On Tuesday I strictly worked on speedwork. I knew I had a race that weekend so I made sure I did some intervals and got as much time in as I could before the sun set on me! I think I did about 3 miles.
Thursday night, my Garmin went out on me but I did a fast 2.5 miles. I picked up the pace for those two miles.
Saturday, we had the Crazy Cajun 10K here in my hometown!
When I got to the Civic Center, it was POURING down rain which also made it really cold outside! My dad was there to meet me so we got out and went to check in. I was SO glad that our shirts were long sleeve because I was sooooo cold!!!!
Then, just like magic, the rain stopped and the sun came out. It got WARM really quick so I took off my long sleeve shirt for the race.
My mom showed up right before we started!
We did something super silly. I forgot to put an SD card in my camera so my dad took pictures the entire race without a memory card in the camera! :) Oh well...we re-inacted some photos and others, we got from a friend! lol! Whoops!
There I come! I ran this ENTIRE race with only stopping at the water stations. I kept thinking that I was going too fast and would tire out soon but I never did! My usual pace for longer races is an 11 minute mile. Most of the time, my Garmin said I was running a 9:35 min mile so I was worried! I kept pace with some people in front of me and it was GREAT! I didn't really start hurting until the 3.5 miles. My knees hurt and my ankle hurt but my breathing was good and everything else was good. I would only allow myself to walk at water stations for 10 seconds each...enough to get a drink, take a quick deep breath, throw water on my face, and off I went again! lol! It was cooler outside too so I know that helped. Many times I wanted to stop and walk, especially once I reached the 5 mile mark but I had to keep reminding myself that I was almost there!!! I don't know where I got it from but I pulled it from somewhere deep inside and I went for it! All or nothing!!! What an amazing feeling!
The grin on my face is because I realized that I ran this race about 6 or 7 minutes faster than I thought I would.
I felt incredible. Like I was on cloud nine. I felt as if I had done the unthinkable!! lol! For me, it was the unthinkable! Haha!
My official time said:
Karen Seal
51st place
Official Time: 1hour: 0 minutes 57.5 seconds
10:00/per mile pace time
They had free massages after the race but I had to leave for something at church. Next time though...I'm so going for it! lol!
What a great feeling!!!!
Jason had to work but I still had some support there! :0)
Our group trailor
Me with a few running buddies
Only in Lake Charles...a giant Crawfish!! :)
This is our runners group inside joke...our coach always tells us to watch out what we eat the night before our races so we don't end up in the K-Jon all during the race! :)
Wooohooo!!!
I thought for sure I would crash sometime on Saturday but I never did! I felt like I was on a high all day long!!! I loved it!!!!!!!!!!

Serene
Well, I'm back...last Sunday at this time, we were flying back into the New Orleans airport from Orlando. I'm so sad the trip had to end and we had a GREAT time with my parents!!!!
I ran 2 times at Disney....
The first time, I woke up at 5 a.m. and found the fitness center (after 20 minutes of searching for it) which means I ran out of time.....so I only got 2.5 miles in on the treadmill and I rode the bike some....
The next time I ran, we had a later day and I was able to run outside on the jogging path. It was SO beautiful and peaceful! I saw lots of bunnies and I even saw 2 deer! They were SO close to me and they didn't run or freak out on me at all! I got in 3 miles that day and I took lots of pictures!
My dad also wore a pedometer in the parks and one day it registered that we had walked 9.5 miles! Wow! We also had days with like 7 miles, 4 miles, etc. I couldn't believe 9.5 miles, though!!!
I felt like I had gotten off track but then I picked it up again last week and it's almost like I never missed a day! I wasn't too much back on track, though! lol! I skipped Monday AND Tuesday's runs (BAD KAREN) but I ran 4 miles on Thursday and it went really well!
Then yesterday, I ran 8 miles. It was hot and humid (WHERE is fall weather?!?!)! This 8 miles wasn't as easy as the last time I did 8 miles (that time it was rainy and felt cooler outside). I only had like 5 hours of sleep and I started hurting around the 5th mile so I wasn't as pleased with this run as I have been in the past. I did finish in my normal time though. I think my main problem is that I didn't have anyone to pace myself with...I was mostly on my own and when I do that, I run faster so I think I just ran too fast for too long and it tired me out too much. Oh well...

8 Rainy Miles!!!
WHEW I'm whooped! I did 8 miles this morning in the RAIN!!! lol! The brim of my hat was SOAKED but I still had fun! It was only like a light misty rain for a long time then about mile 4 or 5, it picked up and was pretty steady. It wasn't a pouring rain but I was still soaked by the time it was all said and done! I didn't mind it though cause it kept me fairly cooled off! I'm just a mess now!! lol!
I averaged about an 11:45 mile! I ran most of it and it felt good!!!
Around mile 3.5, I did a few GU Chomps (that little bag has lasted me forever...probably cause I'm not taking them right)...didn't realize until yesterday you are supposed to eat 4 at a time and I've usually just been eating 2! At mile 6, I did a GU Gel...Triple Berry or something like that. It was REALLY good!
So up until today, the furthest I had run at one time was 6 miles! This was a really good accomplishment for me and made me feel good! Just 5 more miles and you've got a half!!!
As I was running, I saw a CHETAH PRINT PURPLE skirt run past me! I sped up to catch up and I said "No Way! Are you wearing a running skirt?!?!" She WAS and so we chatted about the great people over there for a few and then we both went on our own ways! It was too cool! I haven't been wearing my skirts out there lately because no one else wears them but now I'm going to start!! :0)
I forgot to mention, I got out on Wednesday and did a few intervals...I was supposed to run Tuesday but I was lazy and didn't! I usually don't run on Wednesdays because of church but I felt bad about not having run on Tuesday so I got out there and ran! I did a total of 3 miles although that wasn't my goal.
I ran easy for 10 minutes
Then sprinted for 30 seconds, walked 30 seconds, sprinted 30 seconds, walked 30 seconds, etc. for 15 minutes
Then ran easy again for another 10 minutes
WHEW I was BEAT when I was finished!!!! lol! AND I was sore on FRIDAY to top it off! lol!
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention my other birthday gift. A few weeks before my birthday, I told Jason that I wanted an "In Training for Disney 2010" shirt from the disney store. They had them in stock at the time. Well, when he went to order it, there were no more in stock. So he spent all night at work searching the internet...ebay...amazon...looking for this shirt! He couldn't find it! So he e-mailed Disney and they told him to keep checking back. He did and the following week, they had more out! He's so sweet!
WE LEAVE FOR OUR DISNEY VACATION TOMORROW!! I'm looking forward to running the trails of the Wilderness Lodge!!!!! We are staying there (WL) for a week! I'm looking forward to the vacation too of course! lol!

Love it?
Why do I love running?
I love the feeling you get when you've pushed your body beyond what you thought humanly possible.
I love being alone, just me and my thoughts. No distractions, no aggrivations, just me in my own little world.
I love running skirts..I think they are cute.
I love to hear the pounding of feet on the ground. Makes me feel like I'm doing something good for myself!
I love to feel my heart beating, sweating (even though its gross), and deep breathing.
I love the feeling of accomplishment, the sense of wellbeing.
I love meeting with others who enjoy running, too.
I love waking up early and greeting the dawn with a nice long run. Those only happen on Saturdays though.
I love that I'm doing something good for myself.
I just love to run.
:0)
Jason got me a little present for my birthday....I wore then for a full run for the first time yesterday and I LOVE THEM!!!! Great job, Jason! :0)

Nodule? No way!
Needless to say, the last few days have been an emotional roller coaster for me!
I ran 4 miles on Tuesday, by the way...forgot to add that one in there! lol!
Anyway, with my breathing problems, I had a Doctor's appointment on Wednesday to check it all out. He ordered a Chest XRay just to make sure all was well. He then told me it all looked clear, no problems. Well, he's not a radiologist so when the actual radiologist read it, she found a small pulmonary (lung) nodule on my left side where the lung meets the diaphragm. My Dr. called the report to me Thursday afternoon and boy did I FREAK! Working around cancer, you don't take that kind of news well! HE then told me that they wanted me to have a CT Scan of my chest just to be sure. I cried and prayed and freaked and cried some more and prayed a lot. I spoke God's Word over my life and my body, I had my mother in law pray with me....I think I cried more in those two days then I have in my life! Thankfully I have amazing friends who care about me. Kim came and picked me up and brought me to the movies with her! lol! We went to see Post Grad and I was able to get my certain impending doom off my mind for a little while. I kept thinking, "GOD I haven't had any kids yet and I HAVE TO RUN THIS MARATHON in January no questions asked!" I cannot have cancer!!!!! I prayed that if there was something there on my lung, that it would be EASILY fixed and not cause me any troubles in the future. Before the movie started, I felt a peace wash over me and I told Kim I was going to be ok. I just knew deep down that whatever was wrong with me was just going to go away and resolve on its own! Praise GOD for a peace like that! A peace that logically you shouldn't have. A peace that passes ANY and ALL understanding!!!
Friday morning, I got to work and my boss knew about the situation and so did another girl that I work with. We called my Dr. and got everything arranged (thanks to my awesome co-workers) for me to have my CT scan down the road and that way it would be in St. Pat's system! YAY! Hehe! I had the CT scan of my chest done yesterday afternoon. I worried and worried about it so much. I have an awesome dad too by the way! He came and prayed with me that morning and he even went and sat with me while I was getting my test done! I have a great mom, too! And in-laws for that matter! I'm just blessed all the way around!!!!!!
After the CT scan, Jason took me back to my department so I could log into the computer and look at the images. Now, I really don't know what I am looking at...I can sometimes pick something out but on my own CT, I didn't see anything. My boss called the tech who did my CT scan and he said that he didn't see anything either. He told me to wait around because the Dr. was going to read my CT real quick and put up the results! (It's so good to be on the inside!!) lol! Not even 5 minutes later, the reults were there.....
NORMAL EXAM!
I'm so glad it was just me and Jason in the department cause I started screaming and jumping up and down! lol! PRAISE GOD NO abnormalities seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't God SO GOOD?! I just love that He cares so much for me!!
I felt so emotionally drained that day and the day before that I wasn't able to run. I did however get a good night sleep and was back into the swing of things today with a 4 mile run! Yay! Next Saturday is an 8 mile run! YIKES!! lol!
"And we know that in all things........ALL THINGS........God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
AMEN!!!!

Birthday week!
I'm ashamed to say last week was so busy with BIRTHDAY FESTIVITES and CAKE that I haven't had much time to run! Hehe!
I ran 4 miles Monday! Was only supposed to do 3. I was supposed to run the 4 mile run on Tuesday but I knew I would be taking a girls bridals Tuesday afternoon and I knew I'd get a workout from that like last time! Haha! Great weather....did I mention already that I'm loving it? lol!
Tuesday was a ROUGH and BUSY day at work! I didn't get a lunch break because I had to work through lunch. I barely even got to sit down so I know I got a lot of exercise! I also took a girl's bridals after work! It was HOT outside!
Wednesday after church, my friends threw me a surprise birthday party and because I knew my parents were taking me out for my birthday on Thursday, I was going to get up early and go run at the gym but I didn't get to bed until midnight so that didn't happen!
Friday, we went out of town again for a friends' wedding. In the mean time, we stopped at a running store there so I could check it out and it was really neat! I didn't buy anything though! lol!
I had checked it out to make sure our hotel had a fitness center before I booked it and the website said they did. Well, I was supposed to run 6 miles on Saturday morning....I got up early like usual and made my way to the "FITNESS CENTER". OMG Seriously? I had to walk OUTSIDE the building and around by the pool. then I had to use my key to get into this remote room where I felt like if I turned my back, someone could come in and get me! It was so scary. The room was hot and stuff becuase the air was OFF so I had to turn it on and wait a few minutes. Well, the water fountain was covered in mildew EEWWWW and the treadmill I wanted was broken. So I tried the other treadmill and I think it was the oldest thing I had ever seen! The incline wouldn't go below 1.5 and I'm used to running at a 1. I could have handled that but it was the constant squeaking (it was LOUD) while I was running! I was so mad! I got off and thought maybe I could try the elliptical?? Well, even though it hurts my knees I was willing to try. The tension was SO HIGH I could barely push down on the pedals! Same thing with the other elliptical and I pushed every button I could find and nothing worked! Did I mention that one squeaked too???? So I jumped on the bike that had NO tension by the way and programed it to do intervals which was so easy it's not even funny. I did 6 miles on there which I know is nothing like actually running 6 miles but whatever. I was so mad and disappointed when I left there! I will not be going back!!! I left that as a comment, too. lol! Oh yeah, and they don't have money to update their fitness center but they do have enough money to buy a Westinghouse flatscreen to put in there?!? What????
This morning I got up and went to the gym and got in my 3 miles for the day! Yay!

Achievement
"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement."
Steve Prefontaine
Isn't that so true? That's what I love about running...the sense of achievement you feel when you've done something you weren't able to do before! It's such an amazing feeling!!!
Last night I did 3 miles of running and Core Strength training. Tonight is 3.5 miles and Leg Strength training! I'm debating on taking a class at the gym with a friend...we'll see! :0)

5 miles!
This past December, I was really sick and started with a funky breathing pattern and I have no idea where it came from. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I'm attributing it to any of these three things:
1.) Anxiety
2.) Asthma
3.) My birth control pills
So I said that to say, the breathing thing has been holding me back in my running, I know it has. I know I am capable of doing so much more than I've been doing because of the breathing thing. This past week, I had a BEAUTIFUL week...breathing problems were all gone! Wow! I have no idea why...and I made an appointment a few weeks back to see my GP to determine what is going on....anyway.....
On Thursday, I slowed down my pace just a little and I ran THREE MILES without stopping! I've NEVER been able to do that before! I was soooooooooooo excited you just don't even understand! I'm so glad I had a break from the breathing thing because it really boosted my confidence to be able to run those three without stopping!
Then Saturday, I met up with my running group again and it was a 5 mile run. I ran the ENTIRE thing and only stopped at water stations (because it was humid outside) but I felt GREAT and could have kept on going when we were finished!!!!!!! It was such an amazing feeling!
So now hopefully, I'll figure out what is causing all of this breathing mess and get it FIXED cause I want to run like this all the time!!! lol!

Chilled Towels! :0)
Thursday night, I was supposed to run 2.5 miles. Well, after Jason left for work, I took a "nap" thinking maybe I'd sleep an hour and a half max. By the time I woke up, it was DARK outside! I was so mad!!!!! So instead of doing anything about it, I took a shower then went back to sleep! Haha! I woke up Friday morning at 5 a.m. and went to the gym. First time I've EVER done that! lol! But, I got my 2.5 miles in anyway! Yay!
Saturday morning, we were in a hotel in Houston (we had a weekend getaway with some friends) and I got up and ran 4 miles on the treadmill. We stayed at a Hyatt and OMG it was SO nice in their workout room!!!! They had treadmills with digital screens on them...everything was touch screen (increase incline, speed, etc) and the TV was even built into the screen! So as you ran on the treadmill, you could look down and watch TV! lol! It was really neat!!! After the run, they had "chilled towels" in a little fridge for you to use....it was really really nice!!!!! I'd love a treadmill like that. Keep dreaming, sister! Haha!

Ab Ripper IS as painful as it sounds!!
So last night, I strayed away from the usual to do a conditioning workout. I have a Beach Body program that really works all the muscles in your body. I thought I could handle it at level 3/4 since I've been running since January but WOW...it was HARD. I kept up but it was tough! I worked on Cardio, then Sculpt with the bands, then the Ab Ripper. I'm going to be so sore today! Haha! Today is a day off, then back to running again Thursday!

Train Hard Train Smart
Friday night, we had a sleepover at church for my Missionettes kids. It was crazy and they didn't want to fall asleep so I think I got about 3 hours of combined sleep total! I was soooo tired Saturday morning but I made myself get up and go run with my group. We had a five mile run to do. It was SO hot. Coach said it is probably the worst we are going to have. She said the first and second weeks of August are the worst! I survived! It wasn't too bad, just really muggy outside. Then I came home, took a shower, and went to sleep! lol!
After the run, we talked about proper food to eat before a race. It was really helpful! We also talked about training smart to prevent injuries. I'm very excited about January. I can't wait for it to be here! My friend Kim and I talk about it all the time. Since my husband can't come with me in January, my friend Kim is coming instead. She's never been to Disney so I'm SUPER excited to have her along! I think she's going to have a great time!
We've also talked about running the Mardi Gras Half Marathon in New Orleans at the end of February but we'll see about that in the future. I'm not sure yet how I feel about it! lol!
Today is an off day but it's back to running tomorrow!!!

Spibelt
Hopefully this will be my last piece of running equipment for a while. I needed a belt for my short runs that didn't have water bottle holders in it so I ordered a spibelt from runningwarehouse.com. I got 15% off, too! Yay! Anyway, the zipper is hot pink instead of blue. Hopefully this will work better for me on my shorter runs!
Yesterday I did not feel like running AT ALL! However, I needed to do 3 miles so I forced myself to go to the gym and do it. I couldn't run outside because it was too hot and I had to run early because we were going out to eat for my mom's birthday. Anyway, I HATE treadmills. I mean, I love them for when it's hot but I HATE running on them. They make me crazy. I'm glad yesterday was only a 3 mile run because if it had been longer, I wouldn't have made it. Anyway, it's just one of those things...I'm grateful to have it but I don't like it too much! Haha!
Today is my off day! Yay! Back to running tomorrow....

Rain Rain Go Away!
You Know You Are A Runner When...
Your husband tells you to pack up for the Hurricane and bring only your most prized possessions, the things you can’t live without......you pack your runing shoes, your Garmin, and of course your favorite sports bra.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
At a runner / walking social everyone comments on how they didn't recognize you with your "real" clothes on!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Your husband buys you a Garmin Watch for your anniversary instead of jewelry.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ok so I thought the above was funny because #3 is true. I did get a Garmin Forerunner from my husband as an Anniversary gift in April! Haha!
Saturday's run was HOT but it was a good one! I accomplished my goal of 45 minutes! Yay! We did a 4 mile run on Saturday.
Today was a 2.5 mile run. I did the 1st mile in 8.45! Yay! I wish I could keep that up the entire time! This breathing thing is really driving me nuts. I wish it would go away! I listened to Run Kid Run today as I ran...lol that sounds funny! I liked it though...they kept me energized and uplifted! Today's run was a little wet. It was kind of drizzling outside and muggy so I came home kinda soaked! Oh well! That's the fun of it all! :0)

Run the race....
One of my favorite verses from Philippians...
"You know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize. So run to win! All those who compete in the games use self-control so they can win a crown. That crown is an earthly thing that lasts only a short time, but our crown will never be destroyed. So I do not run without a goal." Philippians 9:24-26
This is so true. It's not just about running, it's a way of life...in everything we do, we should do it with excellence...do it as to glorify our wonderful Father in Heaven!
I received my running belt in the mail yesterday! I used it for the first time today! Worked out really well. Fits good, too! Ran two miles around 7 p.m. It was really muggy and hot and I ran the 2 miles hard. I was pooped by the time I finished! Jason was washing his truck so I sprayed myself down with the hose to cool off! Felt good! lol!
Tomorrow morning is a run at 6:30 a.m. with my running group. We are doing 4 miles in the morning! Hope it goes well! After the run, we're going to Houston for an Astros game! Yay!!!

Never Give Up!
I receive daily quotes from runnersworld.com in my e-mail and this was a recent one that I thought inspiring!
"Winning has nothing to do with racing. Most days don't have races anyway. Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up."
That's true for life in general, as well!
Today was 3 miles on my training program. I did 3.5 instead. It wasn't too hot outside and the humidity wasn't too bad either. I love love love running after the rain has cooled everything off!! Feels great!
I got a new iPhone today too but I didn't run with that one...haha!
After much searching, I found a map of our route for January! Looks scary and intimidating but I'm just going to take it 1 mile at a time!

A cracked iPhone
Well just yesterday, I was telling Jason that I needed a belt to carry around my iPhone in while I run. I have XM radio on my iPhone and I like to listen to it while I run. So tonight, I started running and XM was acting up on my phone. What happens? I pull it out of my waistline and it FALLS on the ground and cracks! So now the screen is shattered and I have to go to AT&T tomorrow to get a new one! That really stinks! After it happened, I was so mad that I came inside and ordered the belt!! lol!
So now I'm the new owner of a Nathan Speedbelt 2! And it's pink! There's my newest running accessory! I also ordered some body glide since Academy was out the other day...
Today started week 2 of my running schedule. It recommended 2.5 miles so that's what I did! It was really really muggy outside since it rained about an hour before but it was cool so the heat really didn't get to me.
Anyway, that's all I have for now! :0) God bless!

It's about the Journey...
Well, here it is...July 19, 2009. I've signed up to run the Half Marathon at Walt Disney World in January. This blog will be about my journey to that half marathon. I've been "running" since January 2009, however, I started training for this Marathon just 2 weeks ago. It's an intense 6 month training program designed to help prepare me for the road ahead. 13.1 miles. Crazy. When I ran Cross Country in high school, I thought those girls who ran 3 miles (college) were nuts...now here I am just as "crazy" as they are! Haha! Hope you enjoy following me on this journey! I'm excited to get started!!
This is a picture of us from the last race we ran...4 miles on the 4th of July! My Sister in Law and I ran the race...this is us with our family! :0)
