I finally feel back on track with my Marathon training! My cough is almost completely gone (yay!) and I feel good when running again!
Since Monday, I’ve logged 12.5 miles! That’s really good for me so I’m excited about that! I think I’ll beat my previous most miles run in a week! (so far, it’s been at 25 miles)
Monday was a beautiful day! I brought my running clothes to work and went for a run during lunch. I was able to do this because our schedule wasn’t very busy and I was able to complete 5 miles! The routes I used during lunch are also some that I run on Saturday mornings with my running group. I work right by a lake and it’s so beautiful out there! I took a few pictures with my Iphone!
Something I LOVE about this route…a home that has a lake house across the street had this installed for runners/walkers…and at the bottom, there’s even a place for doggies to drink! Aww!
These are the homes that were built out on the route! Right across the street from the house is the Lake.
Sorry my finger was in the way…. :0)
Our town is a big import town and has a HUGE port! You can kind of see it from this picture…
The road…to the right are the amazing homes and to the left is the water!
One of my favorites! :0) I love love love the front porch! These are million dollar homes here!
Each home also has a boat house on the water! See that tall building to the left of the picture? That’s our Capitol One tower. ALL of the local 5K’s use this route. I always know when I’m coming back and the tower is getting bigger and bigger, that I’m almost finished!! Haha!
After my run, I had a salad for lunch! I love fruity salads! This had romaine lettuce, mozzarella cheese, almonds, raisins, pineapples, oranges, and chicken with Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing on the side! Yummy! My favorite! :0)
Fast forward to Tuesday…it rained ALL DAY LONG! It was so gross! I figured my run would be messed up from the rain but I put on my running clothes anyway! I started out on my run and the sky was so gloomy and it started drizzling so I came back inside. Not even 30 minutes later, it looked like this outside….
Incredible how fast the weather changed!! I got 4 miles in on Tuesday!
I also tried a few new things on Tuesday night! We had this in the pantry so I decided to cook it! It was SO good! I’ve never heard of Good Earth but I bet it’s an awesome restaurant! :0)
Sporting my new Wine and Dine Half Dry Fit shirt! :0)
I also tried a peanut butter/banana smoothie courtesy of my good friend, Heather! It is SO good and it’s my new favorite smoothie! Go check it out on her blog! :0)
Now today, I had to stay in town after I got off of work so I decided to bring my clothes again and run the lake route after work!
3.5 miles done…and with a beautiful view at that!
Hope everyone has a fabulous day!! :0)
