Saturday morning started out terrible. I woke up realizing that the sun was coming through my window. That’s not supposed to happen when the alarm is set to go off at 4:15 a.m.! I jumped out of bed and looked at the clock….6:50 a.m. Great. Just Great. My running group started their run at 5:00 a.m. No way I could get there in time to get any mileage in, much less join them at the end of their run. I wasn’t tired at that point from the adrenaline rush I had received so I got up and got dressed to run! It was in the mid 40’s that morning (which is VERY cold here)…so I bundled up and had my husband take a few pictures!
My VERY goofy husband took this for me. This is what I get for waking him up early on a Saturday morning to take pictures for me! LOL!!!
Ok that’s better!
This was the only response I got from him! Haha! Goofball!
I started off my run on a bad note. My SpiBelt wouldn’t cooperate, I was grumpy and didn’t want to run since I had missed running with my people, it was COLD outside, I didn’t drink enough water before starting off….I was full of excuses! I had to run 10 miles again…which I did last weekend….on my own. Same route and everything. In hindsight, I should have driven to my parents house and found a new route there, but this route was safe and comfortable…and a little boring since I run it all the time during the week. I did my same 2 mile loop 5 times, passing my water/Gatorade/Gu holder mail box at the end of each 2 miles. I really really really wanted to quit. I hated this run with a passion. If this run was any indication on if I will PR this Half Marathon season, then I can forget it! Thankfully, there’s always a new day, a new run, new possibilities. I finished this miserable run and that’s all that mattered.
That’s why there’s redemption. I ran this afternoon after work and WOW what a difference! I ran 4 miles and it went great! I ran them hard and (what felt like) fast (my Garmin was dead). I am feeling much better about the state of my training now! Thank goodness!
I also received some of my giveaway goodies in the mail today! Yay!
I got 2 Sweaty Bands, a sampler box of GU, and Ryders sunglasses!
Yummy!! There’s lots of flavors in here that I haven’t tried yet! Looking forward to that!
My new glasses! :0) Can’t wait to try these out!
Moving on…the CHRISTMAS fairy also visited my house this weekend!
There’s no reason any given person should have this much Christmas stuff!
My puppies sitting together! Maddie’s shirt says “Bite Me!” and has a gingerbread cookie on it! (Jason picked it out…go figure!) Pixie’s shirt says “I ate Santa’s Cookies!” It’s too cute!
Watching “The Holiday” and ready to put up the tree!
I would say that someone has an addiction. These are Hallmark Ornaments ONLY! I also have three other boxes of ornaments for the tree. This is the reason we had to upgrade to a 9 foot tree! LOL
Three of these are Hallmark ornaments, three are other types of ornaments!
The star!
Jason trying to hang Pixie on the tree! Poor Pixie!
First Ornament! My Half Marathon Ornament from Disney World this past January!!! :0)
Jason’s first Ornament…his new Monster’s Inc Ornament from Disney in September.
Yes, we are Disney addicts.
My DCL ornament I got on our last cruise! :0)
I’ll have the remaining Christmas pictures up later! For now, Happy Early Thanksgiving!
