My week in Review!

Whew.  This past week has been CRAZY! I feel like I’ve been gone for a really long time but it’s only been a few days!  I definitely missed blogging but I didn’t miss photo opportunities to save for my next blog post! :0)

Wednesday served as 2 birthdays…one for a co-worker and also a girl I teach at church.  The girl at church was turning sweet 16! I couldn’t pass up opportunities to bake cupcakes so I did! :0)

These are definitely the very un-healthy made-from-a-box kind of cupcakes!

My girls at church started calling me Mrs. Kurn a LONG time ago.  The joke stems back to my college days.  I had a friend named Michael and he had a really really really country girl that was infatuated with him.  She called my “Mykul”.   We started kidding with him about his “new name” and in retaliation, we all received nick-names of our own….mine being “Kurn”.  Well, one night at church about 6 years ago, him and my friend Brandon came by my car and wrote “Happy Birthday Kurn” all over it in window chalk. My kids saw that and never let me forget it!  Hah!  So thanks to MYKUL…my nickname has stuck!! :0)

 

I also heard that Starbucks has their Holiday coffees out again!  YAY!! I love my Peppermint Mochas (which I know you can get all year but it’s more fun in a Holiday cup!)! :0)

Also, my niece turned SEVEN this week! I cannot believe she’s getting so big so fast!  She had a Hello Kitty birthday party so with the help of my husband, we picked out a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff from Target for her!  She LOVED it all! :0)

I did run this past week.  I made 4 miles at work and then on Thursday afternoon, I ran 5 miles.  I was a bad runner this week and only ran 2 days + a long run but I was so busy I didn’t have time to fit any other runs in!  I’ll get it this week for sure!

We also put up the Christmas tree this weekend and I had the worst long run EVER…I’ll blog all about that tomorrow!!! :0)  Hope you had a great weekend!
