The Texas Rangers…back to back American League Champions!!!!
The Rangers played and AMAZING game last night and I’m so glad I was home to watch it! I stressed out when they didn’t win on Thursday night because I wasn’t sure I’d be home last night to see the game.
I’m so glad they won at home at The Ballpark In Arlington! The stadium was INSANE! I kept telling Jason that it reminds me of the way that the Superdome sounds on TV!
I love it that they toast with Ginger Ale out of respect for Josh Hamilton. If you don’t know much about his story, read here. He’s seriously and amazing guy and he’s come through incredible odds!
“I have a mission now. My mission is to be the ray of hope, the guy who stands out there on that beautiful field and owns up to his mistakes and lets people know it's never completely hopeless, no matter how bad it seems at the time. I have a platform and a message, and now I go to bed at night, sober and happy, praying I can be a good messenger.” –Josh Hamilton
Huge congrats to Cruz, the AL MVP!!! He played an amazing series and completely deserves this award!
In running news…..
Friday night, I had a project that needed completion so I stayed up until midnight working on it. I woke up at 4 a.m. for what was supposed to be a 16 mile run with Amanda and Heather. Well, Heather had a migraine, so Amanda and I ran instead. We decided to cut it short at 12 miles (short! Hah!) because we both had a busy day ahead of us!
After the run, I took a 45 min nap, then got ready for an out of town wedding.
Busy busy day – but, I was so glad I got to see the Rangers win! That totally made my day!!! :0) Have a great rest of your weekend!
Let’s go, Rangers! Bring on the World Series!!!!!
