This weekend, I’m travelling out of town with 2 of my running buddies for a Half Marathon!
We are running the Gulf Coast Half Marathon in Mandeville, Louisiana and by the time you read this, we will already be on the road! I’m so excited I can’t wait! At the moment, I still haven’t packed and it’s really late. I seem to procrastinate too much when it comes to stuff like that! I really think I just have too many irons in my fire…oh well.
Speaking of packing, here’s a few things I like to remember when travelling to an out of town race:
-Always remember your running shoes. If you have to put them on and walk them into your car, then do it!
-Make a packing list – that way you don’t forget anything: include body glide, GU, sunblock, etc.
-Charge your Garmin, Camera, etc ahead of time just incase!
-If you are flying, pack as much of your running gear as possible in your carry-on (I did this for January when we flew to WDW for the Marathon)
The thing I’m MOST excited about with this race is meeting up with my #RunLA Claim Your Journey friends!
We’ve been chatting back and forth on Twitter for a while and I cannot wait to meet them in person!
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
That's awesome! Good luck, have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm super jealous of all the amazing races in LA; and the gulf coast for that matter. I moved before I got into running, but I will be back for the RnR in March.
I hope you did great in the race, which I am sure you did! I can not wait to hear if ya'll pr'd!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear how you did!!
