Another weekend is upon us and I realized that I completely forgot to share about my fun times last weekend!
Saturday morning, I ran 6 miles with Heather, then I rode 10 miles on my bike. Heather was running 21 miles in training for the Pensacola Marathon and since my distance for the day was much shorter than hers, I decided to go along for the ride! :0)
After the run/ride, I drove over to a local high school track to wait on a few friends from church. I was asked to be a “clue” in a “We’re Going to Disney World Surprise” scavenger hunt and of course, I was more than happy to oblige!! A friend from church is taking her niece on a trip to Disney World during the Thanksgiving Holidays. It’s her high school graduation gift and she wanted to make the “big reveal” super special!
My clue led her to the Pumpkin Patch!
They also made her dress up like Wonder Woman! Among other things, she also had to stand on a very busy street corner and sing “I’m a Little Tea Pot”…..
Saturday afternoon, we drove to Texas to visit with my brother and sister-in-law. They moved into their new home last weekend, so we drove over to see it and hang out!
Know what they have in Texas? DAIRY QUEEN! I haven’t had Dairy Queen in at least a year! I’m kind of glad that all of the ones near my town closed! Hah!
On Sunday, I got to be a part of something incredibly fun!!
A little girl my friend Kim baby sits for turned 5 and wanted a Cinderella Party. Kim asked if I would be willing to come to the party dressed as Cinderella and of course I said yes!
The birthday girl! :0)
Those kids were ADORABLE! Each of them were dressed like Cinderella and they were in awe that “Cinderella” came to her birthday party. Yes I realize that I’m not meant to be a blonde, but those 5 year old girls had no clue. One even asked if I remembered her from her last trip to Disney World when she was 3 years old. It was hilarious!
They also asked how I arrived at the party….they wanted to see my “car”! I told them that my horse and carriage were out for repair and they didn’t believe me. Instead, I told them that my Fairy Godmother said “Bippity Boppity Boo!” and that’s how I arrived – and they believed me! Oh the mind of a child….
I guess you are never too old to believe! :0)
In other news, I was very saddened to hear about the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation team pulling out of participating in the Rock and Roll New Orleans Half/Full Marathon.
Love that you dressed up for the bday party - so sweet! :)
