Last Minute Details

This will be my final blog post before the weekend. Goofy’s Challenge is just around the corner and I’ve been busy with last minute preparations.

Gotta love when that countdown is at Zero!!

For starters, I have to tell you a really cool story.  This past weekend I have a slight freak-out moment  - Our flight wasn’t set to arrive in Orlando until 2:35 p.m. this Friday. What on earth was I thinking? We still had to board MCO, get to our hotel, get to the Expo, and we have dinner reservations with friends at 5 p.m. No way. I frantically checked the Southwest website – guess what? An earlier flight was available at a very small cost to us!! I was able to snag the earlier flight (YAY) and I was a very happy camper!

I called Disney Reservations on Sunday night to update my flight information and the Cast Member noticed that a better room rate was available than the one I currently had. In the end, I received a better room rate, an upgrade, AND I’m saving a couple of hundred bucks! Sweet!

Something must have been in the air on Sunday because I also called Disney Dining to add two additional people to our Ohana reservation (making it six instead of four) and I was able to do it! That NEVER happens! I was not expecting a “yes” from the Cast Member – she laughed and said she wasn’t expecting that, either!

I ran my final run last night before the races this weekend! It was an easy two miles on the treadmill. I had to run both times this week on a treadmill because of the nasty rain outside. It’s been raining for three straight days here. Schools are closed today, churches were cancelled last night…ugh it’s a mess. The nasty weather is hitting NOLA today and a little tomorrow. I’m praying our flight isn’t cancelled or delayed.

This is the last of the rain, hopefully.
