Shortly after completing the Rock-N-Roll New Orleans Marathon, I was contacted by the awesome people over at Race-Kred. They asked if they could send a 26.2 shoe charm my way as a token of congratulations! Of course I said yes! :0)
As soon as I received my 26.2 charm in the mail, I applied it to my running shoe and I love wearing it around!
Taken from the Race-Kred website:
“I started Race-Kred after I ran my first marathon because, quite honestly, I was darn proud of it! If it was socially acceptable, I probably would have considered a tattoo on my forehead (luckily a friend talked me out of it). I wanted a reminder of my accomplishments - A small piece of inspiration to carry with me. I was always something of a ‘casual’ runner, but training for anything greater than a 5K was not really on my radar. Sure, I did the occasional 10K and a couple of half-marathons in my younger years, but I was inspired by so many others who were training and finishing long races and triathlons at any age. That feeling of doing something really hard is amazing – and everyone’s version of ‘hard’ is different.”
As I searched the internet for pictures of Race-Kred charms, I discovered a couple different ways to display them!
On a bracelet! How cool is that idea?!
How about all of your distances on one shoe?
They also have 5K, 10K, Half/Full Iron Man, Ultra, and many other charms available! Check out their products page for more information.
Would you like your own Race-Kred to wear on your running shoe or bracelet?
Race-Kred has generously offered one reader of Just Me & My Running Shoes one charm of their choice!

Those are so cool! I wonder if they have smaller race distances as well? I'm doing a 10K coming up soon...not doing my 13.1 until Feb. 2014.

DeleteWhat a cool giveaway! I would definitely choose the 26.2! I have done two marathons, and due to off and on injuries, probably won't do one again. I think it would serve as a good reminder about how far my running has taken me and how it has changed my life for the better!
