Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I’ve been nominated by Jenny at Running Halfway Around the World  for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! I am very flattered and honored that she thought of me!

Along with this honor comes some rules to pay it forward, so here goes:

Seven things about myself:

1.) I have a terrible singing voice although I dearly wish I could sing. Y’all, it’s bad. Really.

2.) I love to volunteer. Lately, I’ve evaluated myself and my inability to say no by asking myself “Is this something you REALLY love and want to volunteer for or do you feel obligated and bad about saying no?”. I also learned something about myself – it’s not that I don’t like to say no, I just REALLY like being involved! I did turn down an opportunity recently that would have put my stress level over the top. After thinking about the opportunity for a few days, I decided that I currently have too many irons in the fire, so I said no. I was proud of myself!

3.) Speaking of volunteering, I volunteer a lot with the American Cancer Society. Currently, I’m the Leadership Council President for our area. Why they chose me as their President I’m not sure, but it’s been a fun ride so far! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!

4.) Chocolate. Love it.

(Just a little overly excited about my Cadbury chocolate find at a gift shop in Canada! The girls behind the counter thought I was cray cray!!)

5.) This is hard. I can’t think of anything you guys don’t already know about me!

6.) My husband and I will celebrate our 6th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday and we have a little weekend getaway planned for a weekend in May. We are spending this weekend with family and friends. :0)

7.) #7 was my softball number. Fun times! :0)
