2013 Disneyland 10K Vlog

For recaps of the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Expo, see below:

Also, be sure to check out my blog recap of the 2013 Disneyland 10K.

Racecation Day 6

While running Dumbo Double Dare and spending time in Disneyland, I decided to film vlogs of my daily adventures. Below, you will find a Vlog from Saturday, August 31. This vlog contains footage from the Disneyland 10K followed by time spent in Disneyland park with friends and a few glimpses of the Walk in Walt’s Footsteps tour (although not much). You will also see how crazy tired I am by the end of it all – and I had to run a half marathon the next day. Let this be your warning, DO NOT try this on your own! :0)

What’s your typical bedtime the night before a Disney race? Mine is usually 9 p.m., since we have to wake up so early for race day! (As you can see, I totally failed on this one!)

  1. LOVE! OMG, I just realized that the SOUNDS are going to be the best part of running the PHM. I have seen many pics but it felt so much more real watching a video. I might even be inclined to video as well! Did you use your phone for the video? Do you listen to music or bring some just in case or do you think it's not needed at Disney races? I'm on the fence, I usually need some music but don't want to miss the sounds of cheering and the music in the park!

    1. I used a point and shoot Olympus Shockproof/Waterproof camera for my video. Love it! I don't listen to music at all during disney races. I like to just run and experience the fun of it all! :0)

  3. I really liked this Vlog! My wife also wished that there was more water on the 10K course. The humidity we had on that morning was something us Southern Californians are not used to at all. I'm glad that you got to eat at the Blue Bayou. I haven't been there since I got engaged (that's where we ate to celebrate).

One thing that I appreciated was when you talked about the differences between Disneyland and Disney World attractions. Some are better at DL and others at WDW. I completely agree with that sentiment and wish the die hard DL peeps and WDW peeps would acknowledge that more often. Both Disney parks awesome in their own way.
