My weekend was busy, but I had a ton of fun and I wouldn’t trade a single minute of it!
Friday was a surprise day off work, and I spent most of it cleaning the front porch, the back deck, and all of the windows in my house. Now, when Fall weather decides to visit again, I can open my windows and welcome the cool air into my home without cringing at the sight of the windowsills. Yuck.
My first order of business on Friday morning was to take Madalynn for a run. She LOVES to run and hasn’t been able to do so since the Spring. If the temps are warmer than 75 degrees, I don’t take her running. Friday morning however, the weather channel said 67 degrees…check! She ran/walked a total of 2 miles and by the end of it, she was one worn out puppy! Just like humans, I will have to work her back up to where she was last Spring. I can’t resist those pitiful eyes that say “What do you mean I can’t go running with you today?”…so sad.
Friday night, we planned a girls sleepover party at my friend’s house.
Kelli’s birthday is this week, so we surprised her with a birthday party! We had so much fun! Sadly, no 80’s movies were watched…maybe next time!
After cake and too much talking, we were slow to wake up on Saturday morning, but we did! The temps were warm (of course) and we were greeted with 100% humidity. Gross.
Heather and I ran a total of 8 miles…we were trying for 10, but my right ITBand decided to act crazy. After the run, I immediately foam rolled and continued to do so throughout the weekend. I’m going to take today off running and try again tomorrow. I’ll admit, I have been slacking on my squats and lunges so those will resume tonight.
The rest of my weekend included 2 birthday parties, church, and a maternity photo shoot for a friend. I was worn out by Sunday night!
At the Maternity Photo Shoot, I stepped in a non-existent ant pile. The ants were everywhere, swarming in the grass….they got me good! First rule of the park, always be on the lookout for ants!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who ordered from my Thirty-One Catalog party! I received a total of $100 worth of product plus several 1/2 priced items. I appreciate it! :0) Interested in hosting your own party? Shoot my friend Daniella an email and she will get everything together for you!
Happy Monday! Hope you have a fabulous day! How was your weekend?
Sounds like an awesome weekend! Sorry about your IT Band. Hope the rolling and rest helps! And yikes on those ant bites! That was a lot of ants!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mindy! The rolling will definitely help! :0)

ReplyDeleteHaha no it doesn't! A 20 miler is awesome, great job girl!! Ugh sorry about your ITBand. Hope it's doing ok! Thanks, Abby!
DeleteSounds like a great weekend.. Ants suck.. Bummer, hope your feet feel better!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah! Yes, they definitely suck!
DeleteYour weekend looks like so much fun! (Minus the ant bites!!!) I wish I could take my dog for just a 1 mile run..she has this smelling obsession that we just can't get over.
ReplyDeleteOh no...thankfully Madalynn enjoys running, not smelling...although she did become preoccupied with a squirrel and wouldn't budge for several minutes. Silly dog!
DeleteSounds like a fun weekend, but ouch to the ants and IT band issues :(
ReplyDeleteThat's alright - I didn't let either ruin my fun weekend!! :0)
