November! It’s November already, I can hardly believe it! I hope everyone enjoyed their day yesterday.
Ours started off with intense rain and a crazy weather forecast. We heard reports of two tornados in our area (we hardly ever see tornados)!
The sky was eerie with a red glow! By 7 p.m., the sun was shining. So much for that 90% chance of rain. I should have taken a picture, it was comical. A lot of Halloween kid events were cancelled because of the weather forecast, and the sun was shining anyway.
My little pumpkins
After dinner, we watched “The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. We had a fun night!
These are all on my front porch (and are entirely plastic…I’m not that crafty)!
I also made a very poor attempt at Mickey Caramel Apples yesterday. The caramel wouldn’t stick, but I asked for advice and now have better ideas for next time! They still turned out cute and they tasted delicious!
Now on to Fitness Friday, the whole reason for this post!
Currently training for: Woman’s Half Marathon - December 8, Louisiana
Rock N Roll New Orleans Marathon – February 2, 2013, Louisiana
Saturday – 3.5 mile run – IT Band issues; leg exercises
Sunday – Squats/Lunges Routine and 30 Day Core Challenge
Monday – Squats/Lunges Routine and 30 Day Core Challenge
Tuesday – Squats/Lunges Routine and 30 Day Core Challenge
Wednesday – Squats/Lunges Routine and 30 Day Core Challenge
Thursday – Squats/Lunges Routine and 30 Day Core Challenge
Friday – Foam Roll/icing – resting legs for Saturday’s run; 30 Day Core Challenge
As you can see, I’ve been relentless in my pursuit of running on Saturday. I have faith in everything I’ve done this week, I know it will help me get back on track.
The Ab/Core Challenge is from Active.com and can be found here. The moves were challenging at first but are getting easier. As these moves and my squats/lunges become easier, I’ll add weights to make them a little more challenging.
Finally, just because I saw this and really liked it…..
…there you go! I hope you have a fabulous Friday! Happy November!

ReplyDeleteThank you! It was quite a mess, but definitely worth it, even if they didn't turn out like I wanted. Oh well!
DeleteYour caramel apples are super cute. Of course only you would think of making them Mickey shaped! We went out to dinner last night with friends since we never get trick or treaters in the neighborhood.
