Next Race: St. Patrick’s Day 3 miler on Saturday
Here’s how this past week looked:
Saturday – 6 mile run
Sunday – Cross Train
Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – 3 miles with Jason
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – 4 mile run – was going to be 3 but I felt so great, I kept running!
Friday – Not sure yet… :D
On Saturday morning, I did NOT feel like leaving my nice warm to meet up with my running group. I decided that was silly because others run when snow is covering the ground and it was a beautiful day here. Somehow I talked my lazy self into getting out of bed.
I was only going to run 5 miles but decided to keep going for six and make it worth my while! :0)
This is sad but true – my main motivation for getting out of bed was breakfast and hazelnut coffee from Panera post run.
I enjoyed every bit of it, too!
Yesterday was another gorgeous day! Spring is definitely in the air and I enjoyed running in my colorful Running Skirts attire!
Again, I was only going to run 3 miles – at mile three, I decided to keep going for four! (That seems to be happening a lot lately!)
Yet another beautiful day! I love Spring and extra daylight!
I’ll admit, I didn’t cross train as much this week as I planned. Hopefully I can add a few days in to next week’s routine!
Have a wonderful weekend! I’m running a 3 Miler on Saturday with my sister in law…what are you doing this weekend?
Your 3 miler sounds fun! I'm gonna continue with my stretches and exercises this weekend so I can hopefully go on my first run post injury on Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun! Hope you are feeling better!!
DeleteMmm Panera breakfast and coffee is the best! I personally prefer it over starbucks any day.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we have extra daylight now, too. Losing an hour of sleep stinks but it's definitely worth it with the sun out longer.
Good luck at your race Saturday!
Agreed! :0) Thanks so much!!
DeleteYou've been having some awesome runs! I have too! I'm loving this weather! I have a 10K race this weekend! I may wear that same skirt for my race that you are wearing in your picture! :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great 10K, Mindy! :0) Love that skirt!
DeleteNice speedy runs this week Karen. Our weather is improving too, but today it is a frosty 32 degrees.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness that's crazy! Hope it warms up soon!
DeleteI am so happy spring is on its way. I know winter in the south is short, but it's been brutal. I want to run outside again and enjoy the sun :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, this Winter has been crazy!! Glad Spring is here!
DeleteWow nice workouts...I need to check in every friday as I am motivated now. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Best of luck!
DeleteI love those runs when you just don't want it to end! Great workouts this week.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I plan on going to the cottage, doing a long run, and going to a bday party!
I agree...wish they came more often! :0) Hope you had a fun weekend!
Deletea 4 mile race on Sat.- hope the rain & snow hold off.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great race!!
DeleteI seriously love the hazelnut coffee at Panera. It's definitely a reason to workout.
ReplyDeleteNice week!
I couldn't agree with you more! :0)
DeleteWe always go out for brunch after our Saturday runs. I think it's the main (or only) reason we get out there every week. :) I'll be doing an 8k at the beach tomorrow and then volunteering for the Shamrock half/full on Sunday. It should be a nice weekend.
ReplyDelete@heatherlas
Love it! Brunch is a great motivator!! :0) Hope you had a great race!!
