Fitness Friday–4/11

FitnessFriday

Happy Friday! :0)

This weekend, I’ve been invited to the city of Houma to observe a Relay for Life event in Terrebone Parish (pronounced Tear-uh-Bone). Terrbone’s Relay is one of the best Relay events around and is ranked #1 in the nation in customer service. Therefore, ACS has invited committee members/leadership of top Relay teams from several southern states to attend, observe, and participate. You have no clue how excited I am about this opportunity!

On the way there, I might just stop at a few Plantation homes for a visit! The weekend can’t get here fast enough! (Stay tuned to my Instagram for updates of my adventures!)

Here’s a synopsis of my week:

Saturday – Six mile run with Heather
Sunday – Rest Day
Monday –  Air Squat Pyramid – start at one squat, then two squats, then three squats, etc up to ten…then back down to one again (total of 100 squats); 50 jump ropes
Tuesday – Worked in the flower beds with Jason for 2 hours
Wednesday – 20 jumping jacks; 10 sit ups (5 rounds)
Thursday – 1 Mile run – stopped every minute for 10 pushups. 80 pushups in total (this workout KICKED my bootay)
Friday – 10 pushups, 10 sit-ups, 10 air squats (5 rounds); 100 jumping jacks

On Tuesday night, we had dinner with my parents and decided to have an anniversary cake along with it! (We eat dinner with my parents every Tuesday night, so this was nothing out of the ordinary…except the cake! It was super delicious, too!)

Mickey and Minnie Wedding Cake Topper

These guys were on top of the cake at our wedding! :D

Anniversary Cake

Sorry we look like hot messes! This was after a quick cleanup from working in the flower beds all afternoon!

Yorkie Groomed

Sweet Pixie saw the groomer this week for a much needed haircut!

1 Mile Run

The only picture I have from a workout this week was the workout that really kicked my tail. The basics of the workout included a 1 mile run and a lot of pushups. For every minute I ran, I had to stop and do 10 pushups. When reading about the workout, I had to laugh because I envisioned myself stopping in the middle of my neighborhood road, mid stride, doing pushups, then jumping back up and running again! Thankfully, I had other options….In actuality, I ran back and forth in front of my house, so I was near my garage every time I reached a new minute marker. The pushups were done in the privacy of my garage. :0)

My legs and arms were feeling it by the time I finished. I’m going to have to remember this one for the future!

I hope you all have a great weekend! What are your plans? Racing? Travelling? Relaxing? Please share! :0)

  5. Your pyramids sound much worse than ours! We just start at ten and go down to one, with push-ups and pull ups.
