Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you guys had a great week!
Saturday – Travel day/Spending time with friends
Sunday – Travel day back home
Monday – Felt like garbage – slept for several hours after work
Tuesday – 4 mile run
Wednesday – 3 mile run
Thursday – 2 mile walk with dogs
Friday – Relay for Life day!
On Tuesday, I went out for a late night run – I couldn’t pass up the awesome weather and I felt as if I just NEEDED to run.
My shoes have officially been retired! :0)
Another beautiful day came along on Wednesday and I was able to run 3 miles before church.
Both my watch and my phone died – boo.
Thursday’s schedule was a bit more relaxed, so I was able to sit out on the deck for a little while and enjoy a snack before walking the dogs.
I decided not to run on Thursday because my right knee is bothering me (like runners knee) and I didn’t want to push it by running three days in a row. I’ve been icing it and am retiring my shoes so hopefully it feels better soon!
My puppies were excited to go on a 2 mile walk with me last night, but they were worn out by the end of it all! They definitely slept well last night! :0)
This weekend, I have a few fun events planned – Relay for Life is tonight, followed by a crawfish boil on Saturday afternoon. I’m also going to run a long run with a friend on Saturday morning. Should be a fun weekend overall!
What are your weekend plans?
Your puppies are so cute! I can't wait to get a dog so I can take them on a run with me :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your sunglasses with the white frames! I'll be needing a new pair soon.
Weekend plans - manicure, sushi, rest, half marathon :)

Thanks, Karen! Jason bought those for me when I first started running...they've held up well! :0) Hope you have an awesome weekend! Love the Half Marathon part, have a great race!
DeleteI always love your photos with you and your pups! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. I'm running a 5k with Lucas this weekend through the Strides program.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! Hope you have a great 5K!!
DeleteGreat week Karen! Hope the knee gets better! I always know when it's time to retire my shoes...something always starts to hurt. Have fun this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mindy...you're right! Hope you have a great weekend, too!
DeleteTomorrow, I have to go to the Netherlands for the second weight of the Summer Shape Up program from Flex Magazine. On Sunday, I'll first hit the gym and them do some chores and talk to my mom on the phone later. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful - I hope you have a great weekend and an awesome trip!
DeleteAs always, I love seeing your pups ( and you too of course). I'm going to my first Bark for life this weekend and then to the beach for a few days! -M
ReplyDeleteFUN! Hope it goes well! Can't wait to hear about it!!
DeleteI can't believe pixie walks 2 miles! mine are dead after 1.5 I have never tried to go further with them haha. Mine are lazy I guess.
ReplyDeleteCorrection...Pixie walked *almost 2 miles. I picked her up around 1.7 and carried her the rest of the way. She has walked 2 miles in the past, though...and she always lets me know when she's ready to stop! LOL
DeleteLove that pic of you with your pups - too cute! I hope your knee feels better soon!
