Fitness Friday–5/23

Happy Memorial Day weekend! :0)

Here’s my workouts from the past week:

Saturday – 8 mile run with Heather
Sunday – Rest Day
Monday –  Bridge Run & Boot Camp 
Tuesday – 3 mile run
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – 6 mile run
Friday – Weekend Vacay

This past week’s workouts were great! If you missed my recap on the bridge run & boot camp, see the link above. It was tough but definitely an amazing workout!

I ran again on Tuesday. Although I wasn’t as sore as I expected to be after the bridge run, my legs still felt like lead the first mile. I wanted to quit after 2 miles, but pushed myself through to complete 3 miles.

I kept repeating positive, motivating things in my mind to keep my legs moving. It worked!

Thursday’s run was a bit different – I didn’t push myself hard because my goal was just to make it through the run. I woke up later than I wanted to and by the time I was halfway through my run, the morning was warming up and the sun was beating strong.

I was thankful for the cool breeze that blew through every once in a while – it helped keep me going!

This week, I also began participating in a Summer Run photo Scavenger Hunt! It’s being put on by the lovely ladies at Fairy Tales & Fitness.

The rules are simple – all you have to do is take pictures of things on the list while out for a run. Tweet a picture of your item (either as you find them or in a collage) to @fairytalesnfit and tag #SummerRunHunt! There’s a bunch of awesome prize packs included as well!   1. I haven't run since my half marathon last weekend and I'm expecting my legs to feel like lead!
