Running Playlist (Podcast Edition)

It's been a couple of years since I shared my list of favorite Disney podcasts with you guys, so I thought it was high time to update my running playlist!

When I first became a runner, music was all my thing (and it still can be, but it's not my first go-to anymore). I loved the sounds of upbeat music piping into my ears as my feet hit the pavement during a run. However, as I evolved as a runner and discovered new things, the world of podcasting was introduced to me thanks to a friend, and it's been history ever since!

If you're a Disney fan and enjoy listening to podcasts, keep reading - here's a few of my favorites below!

My absolute number one favorite podcast is currently the Be Our Guest podcast. These guys are fun to listen to and always share a wealth of knowledge about the latest and greatest at Disney!

The Joyful Miles podcast is another I enjoy listening to. Joyful Miles is especially high on the list as these ladies always keep me laughing and entertained while sharing all things runDisney and running related!

The Disney Dish podcast is brought to you by Jim Hill and Len Testa - these guys are seriously Disney geniuses and it's always interesting to listen to their take on the happenings at the park and in the world of Disney.

Now being a DVC Member, I've also branched out into a few new (to me) podcasts that include the Welcome Home Podcast and the Resort Loop podcast for their monthly DVC Roundtable.

Like I mentioned earlier, I do listen to the music on the occasion, but my main go-to is usually a podcast! I love getting lost in a run while listening to stories of Disney in my ears. Podcasts definitely help the time and the miles pass by!

What's on your running playlist?

Today, I'm also linking up with KookyRunner and Zenaida for Tuesday Topics!

  1. I don't run with music (not for years, anyway, although sometimes I think I should try it again).

I hesitate to listen to podcasts because in general I'm not sure it's really safe to get that lost on the run -- a sad fact of the world we live in. I can definitely see the appeal, though!

    1. Isn't that the sad truth. I do use Treks Air or I just let the podcast play from my phone without earphones, so I can hear what's going on around me.

  2. I listen to podcasts every now and then but I should really try listening to one when I'm running. I bet it would make the miles fly by!

  3. I love music, I always listen to it but not while running because I want to pay attention to the traffic. As I live near Rome I have the possibility to go to many concerts. Here is a "short" list: Deep Purple, Springsteen, Mark Knopfler, Steve Hackett, Elton John, Joe Cocker, Bob Dylan, Bryan Ferry, Bryan Adams, Chicago, Depeche Mode, Joe Bonamassa, Leonard Cohen, Queen, Roger Waters, Santana, Spandau Ballet, The Pretenders, Uriah Heep. Within Temptation and many italian artists.

  4. I either need music or a friend to talk to. I'm late to the party, but I have just not gotten into pod casts...I've never been a fan of talk radio, either. Maybe there's a connection?

    1. Running with a friend is always my first choice for sure! :) There is likely a connection between talk radio and podcasts. Although I don't listen to or like talk radio otherwise!

  6. When I started running a couple of years ago, I didn't use music but then a year into it I added music and was surprised at how much it helped especially for my long runs! Maybe it's time for me to venture into podcasts. Thanks for sharing your favourites. :-)

    1. Music is definitely great for long runs! I now usually just listen to it while running races.
